How embroidery works

More than something you buy — a name makes it yours for life.

A towel thought through as skincare. Friction and irritation are said to contribute to pigmentation, lines and dullness, so Uchino built a towel around what happens to your skin straight after washing your face — woven dense enough that a light touch is all it takes.

Features

Sheds almost no lint. The fibres left on your face after drying are the usual complaint. High-grade extra-long staple cotton brings shedding to under one-tenth that of an ordinary towel.
Very little friction. Exceptionally fine yarn makes for a gentle contact. In friction testing using agar, the effect measured smaller than for towels sold generally.
Takes up water immediately. So the pile cannot move against the skin and irritate it, the cloth is woven dense and, using patented technology, as short as it will go. A light touch draws the water off, and it dries quickly after washing.
The softness it starts with lasts. Ultra-fine fibre is softened in processing, so a towel you use every day keeps the hand it began with.
Thought through in use. Alongside the antibacterial, deodorising finish there is a loop to hang it by before and after use, which also helps it dry quickly and stay clean.

Care

Wash separately — dark colours may cloud the wash water. A mesh laundry bag is recommended as the pile sheds. Avoid fabric softener for the first several washes. Do not use chlorine bleach on coloured items.
